Upgrade kit: Spray While Seeding Kit
⚠️ Please note that the Spraying While Seeding Kit is:
- only compatible/recommended for 450mm and 500mm row distance. Other distances could cause interference with rear wheels!
- only allowed for seeding position, as there could be interference with rear wheels in weeding position.
It is possible to retrofit the Spray While Seeding Kit on any existing FD20 robot, that has + Spray.
The tools you need for completing the task are:
- 2x 13mm spanner or socket wrench
- 10 mm spanner or socket wrench
- Sidecutter

RETROFITTING PROCEDURE
Throughout the procedure, please handle the +SPRAY tubes with care as they might contain residues of chemicals!
STEP 1 - Dismantle back wheel and console/scraper
Two types of back wheel.
Figure 2 With additional weight bracket: Figure 2 Only 1x M6 bolt+ Nut
Figure 3 Without additional weight bracket: Figure 3 2x M6 bolt+ Nut
Figure 4 Keep wheel, bolt, nut and washer. They need to be mounted again later
STEP 2 - Mount new Rear wheel bracket for spraying
Figure 5 2 x bolts M6x20 + Nuts on the back side (not visible)
If previous back wheel is mounted, with additional weight bracket, use the extra bolt and nut that comes with the "Spray while seeding" kit !
Figure 6 Upper hole (marked with Green arrow) for mounting the back wheel after mounting the new bracket. Be Aware ! There are 2 holes for the wheel to be mounted!. Upper hole is Standard, lower hole (Red Arrow) is for when Shallow seeding cant be reached with normal settings!
STEP 3 - Replace the “Seed cover Plow”
The seed cover plow needs to be changed to a shorter model. The standard, long model will hit the wheel.

STEP 4 - Move the nozzle
Figure 9 Cable dismount.
Pull-out grey clip, on plug and pull the plug up and out, may sit tight
Figure 10 Tube dismount.
CAUTION 👇
The tube might contain residues of chemical products.
Press the orange ring and pull-out tube
Figure 11 Tube connecter dismount.
Press on Gray ring on nozzle and pull-out reduction fitting.
Keep reduction fitting must be reused later

Loosen 2x M6 nut from bolts
Take of bolts, nozzle and spray screen of !Nozzle and spray screen bolts and nuts to be remounted again!
STEP 5 - Reassemble the nozzle to the new bracket

Mount angle tube connector (Pos 7) to nozzle
Add the straight tube connector in to the angle connector

Figure 20 Extension cable and tube to be connected to the existing cable and tube.
Cable and tube to be attached to the bracket with cable ties (Pos 8)
STEP 6 - Calibration

Set HMI "Length from seed outlet" to 540mm
Run calibration test after mount to ensure proper function - See +SPRAY User Manual

If moving back the nozzle to the side position.
Dismount extension cable and extension tube to prevent contamination.
