Quick Start Guide
Your robot must be online on the app before starting any operation.
1. Starting Up Your FarmDroid
Steps:
- Download and install the FarmDroid app.
- Log in to the FarmDroid app using your credentials provided by FarmDroid.
- Ensure your droid is listed as online in the app before starting any operation.

2. Installing the Base Station
Your base station must be correctly installed and paired with your robot to ensure seamless operations.
Steps:
- Position/install the antenna on a high point, free from obstacles and solar panels.
- Connect the antenna cable to the base station.
- Place the base station in a dry location, protected from direct rain.
- Plug the base station into a power outlet. The external light should turn green.
- To pair your robot to the base station, contact your distributor or FarmDroid support for assistance. Ensure both the robot and base station are online during the process.
3. Creating a Field
Setting up a field is essential for your robot to know where to operate.
Steps:
- On your robot’s screen, go to the Field Section (Page 3).
- Select an empty field slot and click Field Setup > Create New Field.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Tip: Check for overlaps or errors in the field layout.
Modify the field’s headlands or corner points before starting operations.
4. Seeding Operations
Proper seeding setup ensures accurate sowing and optimal results.
Steps:
- Check the Best Practices section for your crop on the Knowledge Base.
- Perform a blind weeding operation before starting seeding.
- Put the robot in seeding position:
- On the Field Page (Page 3), select your field.
- Click Edit Field > Field Settings.
- Enter the seed test results and seeding disc details.
- Go to Tools (Page 4.1.2).
- Set Seeding Active to ON and Weeding Active to OFF.
5. Place the robot at the starting corner point (e.g., Corner Point 1) and run it for at least 30 meters. Check that seeds are being placed correctly.
5. Weeding Operations
After seeding, switch your robot to weeding mode to maintain crop health.
Steps:
- Put the robot in weeding position and attach the weeding knives.

- Set Seeding Active to OFF.
- Set Weeding Active to ON.
- Set Weeding In Row to ON for intra-row weeding.
3. Start the robot at the same point as it started seeding.
4. Run the robot for 5 meters and verify the weeding is effective.
Tip: Keep weeding in both directions continuously to keep your field weed-free.
6. Monitoring and Storage
Keep your robot in top condition during the off-season.
Monitoring:
- Use the FarmDroid app to track alarms, errors, and history.
- If you have monitoring services active, FarmDroid will handle minor errors remotely and notify you.
Storage:
- Inspect your robot’s batteries monthly.
- Recharge if the voltage drops below the recommended level to avoid battery damage.
