BATTERIES: revive after deep discharge
Always refer to the manufacturer's Battery User Manual which can be found in this article in the Knowledge Base: Batteries: user manual and technical informations
If a lithium battery’s voltage drops below 21.6V it will be irreversibly damaged. This state is typically called deep discharge.
If the batteries are left in the under-voltage state, it will at some point deplete itself to a point where it cannot be re charged again. Such a battery must be discarded.
To “wake” the BMS with the FarmDroid Battery Charger (part number C024PF025201) you should:
- Connect the battery to the charger
- Connect the charger to the 230v power supply
If the charger is plugged-in to the wall socket, when connecting to the battery, the pulse is not sent.
WARNING! ⚠️
Please note that the under-voltage protection is not to be viewed as a feature but instead as a safety measure and it is always the user’s responsibility to ensure that the voltage never drops below the under-voltage protection
threshold (21.6V).
REACHING THE UNDER-VOLTAGE THRESHOLD WILL VOID ALL WARRANTIES GIVEN
If the pack is left in the under-voltage state, it will at some point deplete itself to a point where it cannot be recharged again. Such a battery must be discarded.
