How to Install Weed Cutting Discs
Weed cutting discs help remove weeds and break soil crust during early crop stages. Follow these steps to install them correctly.
Introduction
- Weed cutting discs are two convex discs designed for early-stage weeding.
- They work by loosening the soil and uprooting weeds, especially where crusts form.
- Only installed on passive trailers.
Caution
- Before ordering, state the row distance:
109011038R00: 250 mm trailer distance (fits 500 mm & 250 mm spacing).
109011027R00: 225 mm trailer distance (fits 450 mm spacing).
- Tool beams must be 125 mm left of the seeding engraving.
- Adjust discs for depth, spacing, and pitch depending on crop size and field conditions.
- If mounted, adjust or remove the weeding wire so it doesn’t run over the crop.
