What is it - How to use it

The Manual Function Test (note: MFT from now) is a feature of your FD20 which can help with the troubleshooting process. You can find it in page 4.3.

The MFT can activate 3 different activities of the robot, namely:

Seed motor
Seed valve
Weeding motor

Enable one or more of these activities, to see the response of the robot and understand if all works as supposed.

HOW TO USE IT

In the following chapter, it is explained how to set each of the parameters of the MFT, as well as to understand what a correct output is.

CAUTION! 👇

In order to use the MFT, the safety wire and emergency stop must not be engaged. For this reason, it is fundamental to observe the test from outside of the safety zone

Determine on which trailer you want to run the test: you can either select the tool number or activate the MFT for all trailers contemporarily
Activate the function test in order to enable the feature and wait (10-20 seconds) for the green light in the top-right end of the page to confirm the MFT has been activated
Select which test you want to run between Seed motor, Seed valve and Weeding motor
Observe the output and evaluate

Function	Result	Observation	Further notes
Seed motor	Seed motor starts spinning	Sound from the motor should be smooth and constant	If there are seeds in the seed container and a seed disc is attached to the motor, the output should be seeds being delivered in the seed valve holder
Seed valve	Seed valve opens	Hear the valve opening or closing	By clicking in sequence ON/OFF, the seed valve should close and open.
Weeding motor	Weeding arm is activated	Weeding arm moves smoothly to full-out and full-in position	Make sure the arm can swing all the way in and out. No weeds or dirt are tangled around the moving parts
