Technician's guide: add checklist to home screen

Follow these steps to turn your FarmDroid Service Checklist into a one-tap icon on your phone.

For Apple iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open Safari: You must use the Safari browser for this to work.
  2. Paste the form URL: Enter the link to your Service Checklist form and let the page load fully.
  3. Tap the share icon: This is the square button with an arrow pointing up at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Find "Add to Home Screen": Scroll down the list of options until you see Add to Home Screen and tap it.
  5. Name the shortcut: Type "Droid Service" or "Checklist" as the name.
  6. Tap add: The icon will now appear on your home screen like a regular app.

For Android (Samsung, Google Pixel, etc.)

  1. Open Chrome: Open the Google Chrome browser.
  2. Paste the form URL: Navigate to your Service Checklist form link.
  3. Tap the menu icon: Tap the three vertical dots (⋮) in the top-right corner of the browser.
  4. Select "Add to Home Screen": Tap this option from the dropdown menu.
  5. Confirm the name: Give the shortcut a clear name like "Service Log".
  6. Tap add: Chrome will ask to confirm; tap Add (or "Add Automatically") to place it on your home screen.
