UPG16 V2.0-2.4 - SEEDING AND WEEDING CONVERSION BRACKET
UPG16 includes a bracket designed to enable the operator to accurately switch the robot between seeding and weeding configurations. This is particularly beneficial for robots with custom mechanical setups as usually they cannot rely on the SOW and WEED markings on the frame.
The kit contains the following components:
- 2 x 109012110 Special configuration plate
- 4 x AP200105R01 Tube Clamp
- 8 x nuts

STEP 1: move tool beam to correct SEEDING marking
The tool beam should be precisely aligned with the engraved line corresponding to the specified row distance. Make sure to check both tool beams.

The bracket positioned behind the actuator serves as the indicator for the accurate SEEDING/WEEDING position. The images below illustrate examples for the RIGHT side of the robot (image 3) and the LEFT side of the robot (image 4).

STEP 2: install the conversion bracket
The correct SOW face of the conversion bracket must be firmly secured next to the interior of the tool beam's vertical bracket while in seeding position. Ensure that the nuts are properly tightened. Optionally, thread glue may be applied to prevent the bracket from loosening. Make sure to install the the bracket on both the LEFT and RIGHT tool beams.
Detailed installation views of the bracket are provided in the subsequent images.
The bracket is provided with two different markings. To determine which is the correct SOW face of the bracket, please use the information below as reference:
- SOW 112.5 MM and WEED 112.5 MM - to be used for a row spacing of 450 mm (see image 5)
- SOW 125 MM and WEED 125 MM - to be utilized for all other robot mechanical configurations, unless otherwise specified in the configuration sheet (see image 6)

STEP 3: convert the robot from seeding to weeding
To convert from seeding to weeding, follow the standard procedure which can be found in these two articles:
The advantage of using the conversion bracket is that you do not need to focus on aligning the tool beam with the engraved SOW or WEED marking. Instead, you can simply shift the tool beam until the conversion bracket prevents moving it further. See images below as reference:
