What Does Seeding Error % Mean and How to Fix Setup Issues
The FD20 tracks seed placement and increases the “seeding error %” when a seed is missing or misplaced. The robot stops once the error reaches the alarm threshold.
Tips & Tricks
- Ask your distributor to test your crop at FarmDroid.
- Receive custom-made seed discs and a certificate with correct settings.
Parameters Involved
- Incorrect machine setup.
- Environmental reasons.
Incorrect Seed Disc
- Using a disc not tested for the crop or spacing may cause missed or misplaced seeds.
- Solution: Use FarmDroid-tested discs for your crop and density.
Incorrect Distance Ring
- Thickness mismatch with seed disc prevents proper rotation.
- Solution: Use the correct distance ring for your disc.
Incorrect HMI Settings
- Wrong holes per disc: update settings in page 4.1.2.0.
- Light sensor threshold not calibrated: adjust for tiny seeds with distributor help.
- Wrong driving speed: follow FarmDroid seed test certificate or run a seed test (keep seed motor at 6–16 RPM).
Incorrect Mechanical Settings
- Wrong angle of seed container affects seed flow.
- Solution: Check angle against seed test certificate.
